A Collaborative Project by Artist/Printmaker Matt Brown and Prof. of Psychology Ming Meng
These interactions started with a discovery that we both imagine visual thinking as exceptionally dynamic: its all about movement. Soon we were sharing thoughts about how the perception of color is dynamic: dependent on eye movement and built out of an assessment of relationships.
In a follow-up visit in 2020 we sharpened our focus. We came to talk of these relationships in terms of relative light energy. Out of this thinking came a concept: The Energy Theory of Color.
